Today we proudly dropped off the incredible amount of both new donated toys and canned goods our members brought to donate at Saturdays's Season Closing Celebration Event to SHARE. The local community outreach program, located here in the Milford NH area.
Our third year in a row of member toy contributions for donation!
SONHC has some of the most giving and generous people you will find anywhere! Our members consistanty contribute to each worthy cause we support each season, contributing thousands of dollars to benefit others! Something we're truly proud of being a part of!
Our possible watkins glen thunder at the glen may 15th& 16th
What we know so far
I have received some information already in regards to a potential trip out to Watkins Glen NY for the Thunder at the Glen event, scheduled to take place on May 15th & 16th 2026. currently I am waiting to to hear from the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce to address some of the additional questions I've posed.
I will hopefully have an update in the coming weeks that as soon as I receive will post to those interested in coming along on this weekend long event.
This much I can already disclose:
The event dates are May 15th & May 16th. The entire trip distance covers a total of 318 miles each way. We will be looking to bring around 20 cars total on this trip. It will include a Thursday departure with one overnight stay enroute. Arriving early Friday, allowing us time to take in the Corning Museum before we check into the selected hotel. Which btw, I am still exploring several different options. We want our entire group to be able to stay together in one location. So far what I have found is each one on average is in the $155 per night neighborhood DO.
There are events planned Friday night and all day on Saturday, which will include track time out on the famous Watkins Glen track and an optional visit to the historical Grand Prix race circuit of the 1950's.
The departure home will be on Sunday morning.
